Summer Creative Workshop Program

July 1–4 – Hooray, Summer Is Here!
The first week of our summer workshops at GJK will be all about sunshine, vacation vibes, ice cream, and the joys of summer. Together, we’ll create sunny collages, glittering decorations, cheerful stickers, ice creams and popsicles that never melt—and much more!

July 8–11 – Riding the Waves
A week of creativity inspired by boats, the sea, marine creatures, and adventurous voyages through art, loosely based on our current exhibition Voyage in Liquid Times. We’ll make small sculptures using plaster bandages, learn origami folding, and create nautical-themed objects from unconventional materials—and that’s just the beginning.

July 15–18 – In the Animal Kingdom
Everyone loves animals! That’s why we’ve dedicated a week to our animal friends. We’ll make various creatures through painting, drawing, collage, and also using fabric, cardboard, plaster, and more.

July 22–25 – Following the Little Prince
Join us on a creative adventure inspired by The Little Prince, where we’ll craft planets, moons, stars, and entire galaxies. We’ll explore dry pastel drawing, watercolor painting with a twist, modeling, cutting, gluing, and many other artistic techniques.

August 12–15 – Recycled Treasures
Even materials that have already been used and seem unnecessary can become beautiful, interesting creations. Old textiles, threads, yarn, buttons, packaging materials, or well-read newspapers and magazines will be transformed into wonderful works of art. This creative week is loosely inspired by our exhibition Re-(t)exHile.

August 19–22 – The Four Elements
Water, fire, earth, and air—each day will be dedicated to a different element. We’ll paint water using watercolors or create colorful bubble art. Fire will inspire us to paint fireworks or make dragons breathing flames. From the earth, we’ll gather and paint stones, make floral necklaces, or model an entire globe. And the wind? It’ll set our vibrant decorations, dreamcatchers, and pinwheels spinning.

August 26–29 – Let’s Step Into a Fairytale
Everyone has a favorite fairytale—come create yours! Fairytale characters will come to life in our hands, crafted from various materials. Through painted and drawn stories, magical worlds, and fantasy landscapes, we’ll journey deep into the land of imagination.

Every Thursday at 11:00 AM, there will be special guided tours for children (except on July 31 and August 7).
Please note: No public creative workshops will take place during the weeks of July 29–August 1 and August 5–8.
