How can contemporary art help us better understand the nature around us?

The camp ART HELPING NATURE at the Ján Koniark Gallery is an experiential program for children and young people aged 7–14 that connects contemporary art with environmental themes and a sensitive perception of the natural environment.

Through creative workshops, participants explore various artistic approaches—from land art in public space, to working with recycled materials, and experiments with light, shadow, and natural pigments. Here, art emerges as a process of inquiry, play, and discovery of new connections.

The camp fosters creativity, collaboration, and environmentally conscious thinking. Children work with natural materials, collect them in the surrounding environment, and further transform them artistically. The program also includes a final public presentation of the results of their creative work.

The program is designed with consideration for the needs of the age group and target participants.
